Coffea canephora, also known as Robusta coffee, is the second largest variety of coffee produced in the world, accounting for about 20% of the world's coffee production.
The berries of the Coffea canephora are smaller and larger than the large-fruit coffee. It has strong disease resistance and is suitable for growing in tropical climates at an altitude of 200-300 meters. The caffeine concentration is high, about 2%-4%. However, Coffea canephora has a sour and astringent taste. Coffea canephora is mainly grown in some tropical countries such as Indonesia, India, and Uganda and Most of Coffea canephora is used as instant coffee.
