Decaffeinated coffee process
In the beginning, the direct solvent treatment method used the dichloromethane solvent to directly contact the coffee beans. The direct solvent treatment method is also known as natural decaying treatment. First open the pores of the green coffee beans with steam, and add the dichloromethane solvent directly to the coffee beans. After the solvent and caffeine are fused, the caffeine-filled solvent is washed away, and the coffee beans are steamed again to remove all remaining solvent. The boiling point of methylene chloride is 39.8 degrees, so even if there is solvent residue during the cooking process, after baking, the solvent will evaporate completely.
