The first Panama Green Bean Competition, called Best of Panama or BOP for short was held in 1996 to find the best quality of coffee bean in Panama. The emergence of BOP successfully opened up a piece of the Panamanian specialty coffee industry. In order to allow coffee players around the world to taste Panama's refined coffee, BOP held the first online competition in 2001.
When time comes to 2021 Best of Panama, Nugo Manor won the championship for anaerobic sun-dried Geisha Coffee from Gallado Family and obtain the title of Best Producer of BOP, which mean the quality of coffee bean. As a result, GN-01 Nugo Manor anaerobic sun-dried Geishia coffee broke the record with a bid price of US$2,300/lb in the city, and the price of arrival in Hong Kong was as high as RMB 45,000/kg including taxes, becoming the bidding king this year!
