Coffee destoner or coffee bean stone remover machine is a device specially used to remove stones, impurities and other substances mixed in coffee beans.
1. Why need the coffee destoner or coffee bean stone remover
During the processing of coffee beans, some stones, impurities and other substances are often mixed in. If these substances are not removed, they will have a negative impact on the quality and taste of the coffee beans. Therefore, in order to remove these impurities, a coffee bean destoner is required.
2. Structure of stone removal machine
Coffee bean destoning machine usually consists of a body, a feeding hopper, a separation device, a destoning device and a discharging device.
2.1 Body: The body is the shell of the stone removal machine, used to support and protect the internal structure. The body is usually made of stainless steel or food-grade plastic to ensure the cleanliness and durability of the equipment.
2.2 Feed hopper: The feed hopper is located on the upper part of the destoner and is used to receive coffee beans to be processed. The feed hopper usually has a control device that can adjust the rate of feed.
2.3 Separation device: The separation device is the core part of the stone removal machine and is used to separate coffee beans and impurities. The separation device usually consists of a rotating shaft and multiple centrifugal separators. The rotating shaft drives the coffee beans and impurities to rotate together, and the centrifugal force separator separates the coffee beans and impurities, causing the coffee beans to fall into the collection tank below.
2.4 Stone removal device: The stone removal device is located under the separation device and is used to remove impurities falling into the collection tank. The stone removal device usually consists of a vibrating screen and a wind device. The vibrating screen will initially separate the coffee beans and impurities that fall into the collection tank. Larger impurities such as stones and nuts will be screened out by the vibrating screen. The wind device blows out smaller impurities to ensure the purity of the coffee beans.
2.5 Discharging device: The discharging device is located at the bottom of the destoner and is used to discharge the coffee beans after removing impurities. The discharging device usually consists of a discharging port and a control valve. The control valve can adjust the discharging rate.
3. Working principle of coffee bean stone remover machine
The working principle of the coffee bean destoning machine is to use rotational centrifugal force to separate coffee beans and impurities. Specifically, the rotating shaft inside the machine drives the coffee beans and impurities to rotate at high speed. Due to the different densities of the coffee beans and impurities, they experience different centrifugal forces during the rotation process. Impurities such as denser stones are subject to greater centrifugal force, while less dense coffee beans are subject to less centrifugal force. In this way, the coffee beans and impurities are gradually separated during the rotation process. Next, larger impurities will be screened out by the vibrating screen, smaller impurities will be blown out by the wind device, and the pure coffee beans will fall into the collection tank. Finally, the control valve adjusts the discharging rate and discharges the coffee beans after impurities have been removed.
4. How to use coffee destoner or coffee bean stone remover machine
When using a coffee bean destoner, you need to follow these steps:
4.1 Pour the coffee beans to be processed into the feed hopper.
4.2 Adjust the feed hopper controls so that the coffee beans enter the separator at the appropriate rate.
4.3 Turn on the separator and let it start spinning. At this point, the coffee beans and impurities are rotated together and separated by a centrifugal force separator.
4.4 After the coffee beans and impurities are separated, close the separation device and open the stone removal device. At this time, the vibrating screen and wind device will start working to remove impurities.
4.5 Open the discharging device and discharge the coffee beans after removing impurities.
4.6 Turn off the stone remover and clean the inside and outside of the equipment for next use.
